New Pool Facility
The Country Club of New Canaan retained Rogers McCagg Architects and Interior Designers to design a new pool facility to better serve the club’s changing demographic profile and become a more family centered destination. The previous Pool facility was undersized, outdated and underutilized by members.
Our design expanded the program extensively and has been enthusiastically received by members during this inaugural season. Included in the new facility are a new Pool House, which reestablished the aesthetic of the original Clubhouse built in 1893, new lockers rooms, a covered bar with casual dining, a snack bar, a new camp pavilion and adjacent playing fields as well as new 25 meter 6 lane swimming pool with a diving well and a learn to swim area. A separate enclosure accommodates a zero-entry kiddy pool with a pergola for shade.
