Athletic Complex

The Gymnasium at Sacred Heart was given a facelift and then expanded by a factor of five! The resulting Athletic Complex has three full-size Gymnasiums, six Squash Courts, a Strength and Conditioning Center, Dance and Yoga Studio, Sports Medicine Suite, Team Room as well as supporting locker rooms, storage and offices.

Dining Expansion

The Student and Faculty Dining rooms also received an expansion and renovation with new services, a fireplace and lounge area.

The landscape underwent an equally great transformation by moving vehicular circulation to the perimeter of the campus, increasing parking  and creating a Central Commons that features an outdoor Dining Plaza with a fireplace and water feature, an Amphitheater, an Alumnae Garden and play areas specialized for each age group.

Middle School

A four story, 32,000 sf addition consolidates the middle school on two floors and provides a centrally located two story library for the entire campus. The addition takes advantage of sweeping views of the Long Island Sound while creating a contemplative landscaped courtyard at the core of the campus.

Front Hall

The renovation’s goal was to retain the fine details of the original Greenwich mansion, and to enhance the space by adding a new marble mantle, wood flooring, new lighting and furnishings. The built-in banquettes at the windows are used by students as they wait to be picked up. Décor in surrounding rooms was updated.

A new auditorium with 450 raked seats was created within an existing gymnasium and multi-purpose space, one story above an existing swimming pool. The alteration involved state of the art audio-visual and theatrical lighting systems, as well as superior room acoustics to assist developing young voices.
