Birchwood Country Club

The clubhouse renovations included all new furnishings, lighting and finishes in the entry foyer, living room, dining room, bar and connecting corridor. The living room’s rafters and exposed timber trusses are original to the house. Fireplace additions of native fieldstone with a timber mantle create a focal point.

The fourth floor of the McKim Mead and White building, built in 1852, was completely transformed to serve the members as a Grill Room, Bar, and Lounge. The renovation, including the millwork, furniture, and overall ambiance, was designed to compliment the character and fine original details in the building.

The YMCA expansion and renovation covered about 20,000sf and included a new Holly Pond Nursery School, new Lobby, a new 10,000sf state of the art Gymnastics facility, and renovations to the fitness centers and locker rooms.
