The fourth floor of the McKim Mead and White building, built in 1852, was completely transformed to serve the members as a Grill Room, Bar, and Lounge. The renovation, including the millwork, furniture, and overall ambiance, was designed to compliment the character and fine original details in the building.
The four piers, covering 1.5 million sf of waterfront, are landmark eligible, a designation requiring that they be treated as landmarks when undergoing any design change. They were revitalized and completely renovated to become a center of sports and recreational activities on Manhattan’s Hudson River.
