Rogers McCagg Architects, Planners, Interior Designers (RMA) is excited to introduce Kim Nathanson as the firm’s new Director of Interior Design. Kim, a resident of Greenwich, CT, brings to Rogers McCagg and its clients a wealth of expertise honed over a 30-year career in hospitality and club design.

Most recently, Kim served as Director of Design at Niemitz Design Group in Boston, where her key projects included a complete renovation of the Visitors House at the Chevy Chase Club in Chevy Chase, MD; design for the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester, MA; design of all interior spaces at the Taconic Hotel in Manchester, VT; and a full renovation of the Grille Room and the Members Room at Wellesley Country Club in Wellesley, MA. Other clients served during her career include the Encore Boston Harbor Resort in Everett, MA; The Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI; The Capital Grille; and luxury resorts and cruise lines.

Having worked in all areas of the hospitality industry, Kim looks forward to focusing on club design in her new role at Rogers McCagg. Her design philosophy is forward-thinking, aligning with the evolution of hospitality and club design that she’s witnessed throughout her career. “Clubs strive to embrace tradition while expanding their offerings to attract new members and their families. I help clients achieve this goal by initially drawing from a club’s character and reinterpreting tradition. I enjoy creating intriguing solutions that represent a club’s entire membership while incorporating function as well as aesthetic excellence. It’s a challenge that never fails to inspire me, and I am thrilled to do this exciting work as a part of the Rogers McCagg team.”

Rogers McCagg has a long history of serving prestigious club clients from its South Norwalk office. “Our firm is known as a standard bearer of the very best in architectural design, as well as for meticulous attention to detail and constructive collaboration that keeps our clients happy over relationships that last years,” said RMA Partner Chris McCagg. “We knew it was time to bring in a true leader in Interior Design who embodies these qualities, and Kim is undoubtedly that person. We couldn’t be happier to welcome Kim to Rogers McCagg.”
